Author, Joan Marie, has been an animal lover and advocate of animal adoption for over ?? years.

In her lifetime she has adopted 9 animals (5 cats and 4 dogs) and helped countless others save sheltered animals by giving them new homes.

Joan currently enjoys the company of her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Oliver, in her Denver area home and has taken it upon herself to be a champion of the cause of the benefits of adopting animals as companions to those who are later in life and living alone.

To support this cause, she does speaking engagements that promotes the benefits of having these companions and facilitates periodic visits to shelters or situations where sheltered animals are brought to elderly care facilities.

We are seeking people that want to volunteer at or work with Denver area animal shelters either transporting animals to elderly care facilities for visits or transporting elderly to shelters to visit the animals that need adopting.
